This is a neat browser-based program that compresses Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPG/JPEG) pictures. As soon as you paste your JPG/JPEG picture in the input area, the program will compress it and show the result in the output area. In the options, you can adjust the compression level, as well as find the old and new picture file sizes. Created by mad scientists from team Browserling.

With this online program, you can quickly reduce the file size of your JPEG photos. All you have to do is adjust the compression strength parameter in the options. This parameter can range from 0 to 100. The value 0 means – don't compress the JPEG (leave it as-is) and the value 100 means – compress as much as possible. The default value is set to 50, which does a good job of optimizing the file size. The recommended values are from 30 to 60. In the compression statistics area, you can see the file size of the original JPG, the optimized JPG, and the compression ratio between the two pictures. If the ratio is greater than 1, that means the JPG was successfully compressed to a smaller size. If the ratio is smaller than 1, then the compression wasn't good enough and you should try a larger compression value. Jpgabulous!

This example sets the compression level to 30 (out of 100). At this level, the JPEG undergoes minimal compression but the results are great – the quality of the kiwi in the photo almost doesn't change but the file size decreases from 96KB to 47KB, which is more than 2x file size change. Overall, level 30 is a good compression level to use to quickly reduce the image size without affecting the quality. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we set the compression strength to 100, which is the maximum. As you can see, this compression is so strong that the output JPG turned out to be very low quality. That's because the more a JPG is compressed, the more information is lost. It's recommended to not exceed the compression level of 60. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we needed to make a JPEG weigh 2 times less than it currently weighs. To achieve this, we experimentally determined the ideal compression level by looking at the statistical data of the output and input image sizes in the options. By changing the compression level value from 50 to 49 to 48 to 47, etc., we determined that the value of 41 reduces the given image size exactly by half. (Source: Pexels.)
