With this online tool, you can transform JPG files into bitmap (BMP) files. Both JPG and BMP files support true colors (24-bit colors) but only JPG supports compression and metadata. As a result, the output bitmap files are much larger than JPGs. For example, a good quality JPG can be just 60KB but the same quality BMP can be 600KB that is 10 times larger. The advantage of BMPs is that they are very easy to parse as they contain an array of raw RGB values, so every three consecutive bytes make a single pixel. Parsing a JPG is much harder as it uses various difficult compression and encoding algorithms. Jpgabulous!
