This is a simple browser-based utility that deletes the background from Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPG/JPEG) pictures. As soon as you paste a JPG/JPEG picture in the input area, the utility will find and delete all background pixels. You can select the area that will be deleted directly in the preview by clicking on the background. You can also delete backgrounds of similar shades by adjusting the options, as well as get rid of noisy old background pixels at the edges of the deleted areas by smoothing them out. This online program removes the background from JPG, JPEG, and JPEG2000 pictures. As the JPG format does not support transparency, the picture after the background removal has the PNG format and the extension ".png". At the moment, the background removal algorithm uses the principle of removing one or several similar solid colors from the picture. You can choose the background color to remove using its name, for example: "white", "yellow"; using the hex code, for example: "#008000", "#FF0000"; or using the RGB code, for example: "rgb(165, 42, 42)", or "rgb(139, 0, 0)". However, the easiest way to choose the background color is to simply click it in the input preview window. This way, you can quickly switch between various background shades and see an instant result in the second/output preview window. If you want to remove more similar shades besides the current color, you can increase the color threshold value in the options. To make sure that all pixels of the background are transparent, you can preview the transparent JPG with a black and white mask. The "Show Deletion Areas" option shows which areas are transparent (in black) and which are opaque (in white). Often, after the background is deleted, several small pixels remain on the edge line. You can get rid of them with the "Remove the Edge Line" option. It expands the transparent area on the edge, smoothing the opaque pixels. Jpgabulous!

In this example, we delete the sky above the horizon line in a JPG photo of a ship. We remove the sky color rgba(172, 203, 208, 255), as well as 14% of the similar sky shades. As a result, we get just the brown sail ship in deep-sea with no background. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we load a JPEG image, click on its background, and get back an image with just the red flower on a transparent background. In addition to the color that was selected by the mouse click rgb(161, 188, 206), the program also removes 10% of the background tones, as well as a 1-pixel wide transparent edge line. In this example, we get rid of the background in a JPG/JPEG picture that spells out the gratitude words "thank you" using scribble letters. We remove the cyan color "#2ba4cf" and 30% of other similar cyanish tones. We deal with the grainy and shadowy pixels at the edges of scribble letters by smoothing the transparent pixels over a 3-pixel radius. (Source: Pexels.)
