This is a simple browser-based JPEG picture to PNG picture converter. As soon as you paste your JPEG file in the input area, the program will create a PNG file from it in the output area. Additionally, you can create a transparent PNG by matching one or more colors in the JPEG and also preview the transparency mask before downloading the final PNG. With this online tool, you can transform a JPG (in the input) into a PNG (in the output). It works entirely in your browser and only uses the HTML5 features to do the conversion. In the options, you can also enable transparency for the output PNG. When this option is turned on, you can select one of the colors in the JPG (and, optionally, a certain percentage of its tones) that will be converted to the transparent color in the PNG. For example, you can enter the color "green" in the options to make it transparent and then add 15% of its shades to the transparency. By default, the program scans and finds all areas of the specified color within the entire PNG image. However, if you activate the "Delete External Regions" option, then the program will only make pixels transparent if they touch the edges of the PNG image. For example, this option is useful if you want to remove the background around text but don't want to remove details of the same color located inside the letters (such as "a", "e", "o" and others that have hollow areas). Another useful option is the smoothing option. This option eliminates noisy pixels near the edges of opaque regions of the removed color. Before saving the output PNG, you can also preview the transparent regions by turning on the transparency mask option. Jpgabulous!

In this example, we create a PNG photo from a JPG photo of water drops of morning dew on a flower's stem. The size of the input JPG is 53KB as it's well compressed but the output PNG is 280KB because it uses lossless compression. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we enable the PNG transparency option and remove the background from a JPEG image of a wine glass. To make sure all greenish background colors are removed, we also match 30% of similar color shades in the JPEG. (Source: Pexels.)
This example converts a 300x200 pixel JPG icon of a coin into a 300x200 pixel PNG icon. The conversion is done pixel-by-pixel, meaning that the output PNG has exactly the same quality as the input JPG. (Source: Pexels.)
This example creates a transparent PNG picture with smooth edges. Firstly, it takes the given JPG picture of a watermelon candy and converts it to the PNG format. Then, using the "Enable PNG Transparency" option, it removes the gold color and, additionally, makes 16% of its shades transparent. Finally, with the "Smooth Region Connection" option, it adds a semi-transparent 2-pixel line along the edges of the candy. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, while creating a PNG image from a JPG image, we restrict transparency only to the external regions of the image. We remove the background color "#b5bedf" and by using the "Delete External Regions" option, we preserve the opaque areas of the background that shine through the glass jar. (Source: Pexels.)
