In this example, we set the optimization percentage level to 25%, which reduces the file size well and at the same time preserves the quality of the JPG photo of a sundae ice cream. In this example, we reduce the size of a JPEG picture of snowy trees two and a half times by using the optimization strength of 50%. The input JPEG has the size of 271.07kb and the output JPEG has the size of just 109.79kb, and it still has superb quality. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we apply the maximum optimization force to a JPG/JPEG image of dolphins. The optimization result is pretty incredible – the file size is reduced 17.7 times. The original JPG/JPEG is 59.01kb and the new JPG/JPEG is 3.33kb. However, this optimization leads to a huge loss of information and quality in the image, and as a result, there are a lot of rough pixels and artifacts, almost as if Zalgo visited this image.
